While picking up my teenager at Middle School one day after work I decided to call in an order for pizza for dinner. I used the phone number from a coupon I had remembered to place in the car.
The pizza place is on the way home, so I conveniently stopped in to pick up our order. After I gave my name to the clerk he said they had no order under the name “Ray”. I said “are you sure” and after much searching they said “were sure”, but we can place an order for you now”. So I retrieved the coupon from my purse and handed it to the clerk.
And behold the clerk tells me this is not a coupon for their establishment and suddenly I realize I ordered from another pizza place about a half mile down the road.
Trying to save face I said “well, I must have the other coupon in the car”, and quickly told my son to get in the car and we drove away.
My son said I must have been having a “senior moment”.
I did this once and when I realized my mistake, I called in my debit card, paid for my order and asked the employees to take the food to the people working at the mini mart next door!

I work at a pizza place and that happens all the time. People swear they put in an order and we do not have it. Or they put in an order at our store and go to another then we are stuck with their pizza’s
